Exciting developments in Hoffman Estates:

Our historical museum, banners on the street celebrating our great Village, new pride in Hoffman Estates. What a wonderful place to live! What a privilege to be your Mayor!

The Sears Centre opened in October 2006. It features sporting events, concerts and other entertainment venues. Some of our local high schools will do their graduation events there; no more worry about the weather.

Cabela's, an indoor-outdoor water park with a hotel and a 9,000 seat outdoor concert park are scheduled to be built during the next two years. Our new Poplar Creek Crossing Shopping Center at the corner of routes 59 and 72 is a wonderful addition to our retail choices, and I hope you all shop there as often as possible - your local sales taxes help our Village.

We are continuing our local retail redevelopment efforts in our older shopping areas also. The road reconstruction program in Hoffman Estates is in full gear.

A feasability analysis for the STAR Line, our proposed suburb-to-suburb rail line is scheduled for completion by next spring. If you have any concerns or questions about this project, I urge you to contact me.
